Pomegranates are good for men’s health, drinking a glass of the juice every day has been shown to lower levels of prostate - specific antigen (PSA) in men.  The higher a man’s PSA levels is, the greater his risk of death from prostate cancer. Pomegranate is protective to the heart. It’s polyphenol compounds keep arteries elastic and help lower blood pressure and risk of heart disease and strokes.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men in the United States. High cholesterol and high blood pressure are two of the greatest risk factors for heart disease. The antioxidants in pomegranate juice may help to keep cholesterol in a form that is less damaging and may reduce plaque that already has built up in vessels, some research shows. In a study of healthy men, researchers from Israel concluded that pomegranate juice decreases the likelihood of LDL, the “bad” cholesterol that forms plaque and indicated that it improves HDL, the “good” cholesterol. The researchers concluded that pomegranate juice's polyphenols, which work as potent antioxidants, were responsible for the improvements.

Pomegranate is rich in anti-oxidants and thus protects our body from free radicals, which are responsible for premature aging. Free radicals are formed by exposure to sun and due to harmful toxins in the environment.
